Terrifying, rather than funny. We all come across some dodgy bits of bodging from time to time, but for me this beats all.

That is exactly what I thought. Some body did not want this frame to re-used.

I don't think so, I believe it's a serious (if misguided) attempt to lighten the frame as the majority of the holes are drilled in the underside of the tubes so that they're not immediately visible. There are a lot of much easier ways to render a frame useless.

It could also be a hoax. That's that sort of thing I'd do, but still, a lot of effort.

Paint looks quite good! You would think with all those holes it would rust from the inside out. All that swarf falling inside the frame would hardly reduce the weight.
Where did you see this Chris and any idea of the value the seller puts on it?
